What following Jesus actually means?
Following Jesus isn't a test you pass, it's a relationship you step into.
01
You are fully known. God sees you completely, every mistake, every doubt, every quiet hope and loves you anyway. That’s not a small thing. That’s the whole thing.
“You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.”Psalm 139:1–2.
02
Jesus made a way. The gap between us and God, caused by the ways we all fall short, was closed by Jesus on the cross. Not because we earned it, but because He chose it.
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”Romans 5:8
03
You can say yes. Turning toward Jesus, acknowledging what He did, asking Him into your life is the simplest, most life-changing prayer you’ll ever pray.
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”Romans 10:9
04
And then the journey begins. Faith isn’t a moment, it’s a walk and you’re not alone in it.
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6
Pray
A simple prayer to get started
If you want to begin or begin again you don’t need special words. Just speak honestly. Here’s one way to start:
“Jesus, I want to know You. I believe You died for me and rose again. Forgive me for the ways I’ve fallen short, and come into my life. I’m yours. Amen.”
If you prayed that: welcome to the family. Let us know by clicking below, and we’d love to walk with you from here.
