Salvation is not earned by our good works but is a gift of God’s mercy. We are made new and cleansed through the regenerating power and renewal of the Holy Spirit.

Reflection for Today

Free gifts may be rejected because we do not earn them. God wants us to be helpless so that we depend on Him for regeneration and renewing, like Jesus did. How does it feel to receive a gift and have nothing to give in return?
